Resetting Your Mobile Advertising ID
Overview:
You can choose to reset your Mobile Advertising ID (IDFA - iOS; AAID - Android) at any time directly on your mobile device. Prior to doing so please consider:
If you still wish to proceed with resetting your Mobile Advertising ID please follow the steps below depending on your mobile devices mobile operating system (iOS or Android).
For iOs (including iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch):
If your Mobile Advertising ID (IDFA) is shown as a string of zeros “000..” you do not need to reset your Mobile Advertising ID, this task has already been undertaken on your mobile device and no data collected by LANDMARKS ID can be linked to your Mobile Advertising ID.
To reset your Mobile Advertising ID (IDFA) for iPhones, iPads and iPods:
To reset your Mobile Advertising ID (IDFA) for Apple TV:
To reset your Mobile Advertising ID (IDFA) for macOS:
Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner

- Resetting your Mobile Advertising ID may invalidate systems and protocols designed to respect your choices for advertising targeting;
- Clients using your Mobile Advertising ID as part of their login and/or certification process may not be able to offer you their full, or partial, service without the ability to certify an account belongs to your mobile device;
- Resetting your Mobile Advertising ID may require you to sign up again to use the Clients service; the removal of any personalisation features; reconfirmation of your account details; the resubmission of any previously completed forms or requests regarding ad targeting or other unknown outcomes

- Click on the “Settings” app
- Click on “Privacy”
- Click on “Advertising”
- Click “Reset Advertising Identifier”
- Confirm your selection by clicking “Reset Identifier”
To reset your Mobile Advertising ID (IDFA) for Apple TV:
- Click on ‘Settings”
- Click on “Privacy”
- Click “Reset Advertising Identifier”
- Confirm your selection by clicking “Reset Identifier”
To reset your Mobile Advertising ID (IDFA) for macOS:
Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner
- Click on “System Preferences”
- Click on “Security & Privacy”
- Click on “Privacy”
- Select “Advertising”
- Click the “Reset Advertising Identifier” button
For Android:
To reset your Mobile Advertising ID (AAID) for Android:

- Unlock your Android device
- Click on the “Settings” app
- Click on “Google”
- Click on “Ads”
- Click on “Reset Advertising ID”
- Confirm your selection when prompted
