The Mobile Advertising ID is a unique, resettable, identifier for your mobile device which is made publicly available by iOS and Android mobile operating systems in a similar way to how a licence plate is made publicly available without any direct link back to the owner of the vehicle. Currently it is not possible for you to find your Mobile Advertising ID (IDFA) directly on iOS devices as this has been hidden by Apple by default on all devices, however, it can be retrieved with the assistance of a third party mobile application.
